Salt Lake City Restaurants and Food Spots

If you are looking for a great meal in the Salt Lake City area, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve highlighted several of our favorite restaurants and food spots, from Maxwell’s to Lucky 13 Bar and Grill and Penny Ann’s Cafe. Maxwell’s

For a unique dining experience, try Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery in downtown Park City. The South Jersey-born owner of Maxwell’s also owns the Fat Kid pizza on Main Street. Vincenzo James Pelura, a native of Italy, migrated to “New World America” in 1899. The restaurant’s name pays homage to his Italian heritage, but is a more modern twist on classic Italian dishes.

Lucky 13 Bar and Grill

The Lucky Thirteen Bar and Grill in Salt Lake City, UT, specializes in gourmet burgers and is known for its house-smoked bacon. The restaurant was founded by retired firefighters, and has since received awards such as “Best Burger in Salt Lake City 2012” from City Weekly. In fact, the restaurant’s burgers have even qualified for the 2012 World Food Championships! In addition, lucky 13 serves craft beer, wine, and cocktails, and features an outdoor patio.

Red Iguana

The Red Iguana is a well-known local dining establishment in Salt Lake City. With a worn sign and a sticker-festooned front door, the Red Iguana has been around since 1985. The restaurant is popular with both locals and repeat visitors, and its menu is unique enough to warrant a wait. The crowd is a diverse one, with conventioneers, tourists, and locals in suits, as well as a mixed crowd.

Penny Ann’s Cafe

Penny Ann’s Cafe serves traditional American breakfast & lunch fare, shakes and assorted pies. The family-run restaurant is known for serving fresh, homemade dishes, like light sour cream pancakes and baked corned beef hash. You can also order breakfast nachos or try a pork chile Verde smothered burrito. While visiting Penny Ann’s, don’t forget to check out the desserts!

La Casa Del Tamal

Whether you are in the mood for a spicy or mild tamale, La Casa Del Tamal in Salt Lake City is worth a visit. The Mexican restaurant serves a variety of tasty dishes for under $10. The restaurant specializes in tamales and offers a variety of vegetarian options. For a fun atmosphere and a tasty Mexican meal, head to this restaurant. Located on the corner of Main and Broadway, this location offers a diverse menu and reasonable prices.

One More Noodle

For the ultimate Chinese noodle experience, visit One More Noodle. Located in downtown Salt Lake City, this simple Asian noodle diner offers a variety of dishes, including beef, vegetable, and soup. Outdoor tables are available for those who want to enjoy their meal without a heater. One of Salt Lake City’s newest restaurants, One More Noodle is a delicious option for takeout.

Pago

This compact New American hot spot offers a buzzy vibe and inventive dishes. The wine list is top-notch, and the atmosphere is upbeat and energizing. The cuisine features a modern twist on classic favorites. And, while it’s not a big spot for a romantic date, it does offer some excellent value for the price. Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, Pago serves inventive cuisine from local, seasonal ingredients.
